Dear diary, I woke up this morning to check my phone and it was blurry, I must run down to the wireless store and have them fix this immediately. I am noticing the newspaper and some current books I read have become blurred text as if the quality of print has made its way to a lesser standard, probably by way of saving money.  After further investigation they may be playing a trick on me with an optical illusion font, as I move further away from the text I see it coming into focus, that’s a dirty prank; it’s as if they are in cahoots with an optician advertiser.

My Mom said it happens to everyone when you turn 40-ish, really Mom, they got to you too. So it looks like I need reading glasses that comes with the realization that I will look like an old man. Growing up I could see 20/10, I could have been a fighter pilot or sniper.

I can still see miles away but I can’t see if I have a hang nail or dried mustard on my hand, right in front of my face. So I went to Affordable Optics http://affordable-optics.com/ and its true, I am an old man, a semi-blind old man at that. So I picked out a nice pair of glasses and I asked my wife, how do I look? Do I look like a smart advertising guy? She said; “I don’t know, I’ve never seen one”.
